Islamabad: The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan called his counterpart in India Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday to congratulate him on winning the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, a Pakistani foreign office spokesperson confirmed.
Dr. Mohammad Faisal, Spokesperson for Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that Khan "expressed his desire for both countries to work together for betterment of their peoples."
Faisal added that Khan "reiterated his vision for peace, progress and prosperity in South Asia and the Prime Minister said he looked forward to working with Prime Minister Modi to advance these objectives."
