Three arrested for committing immoral acts

Muscat: Three citizens have been arrested for committing acts contrary to public morals and insulting the Omani flag, Royal Oman Police (ROP) has said.

According to officials, the accused committed the crime while they were celebrating “Qaranqasho ” which marks the middle of the holy month of Ramadan.

In an online statement, ROP said: “Muscat Police Command managed to arrest three citizens for committing acts contrary to public morals and insulting the Omani flag while they were celebrating Qaranqasho .”

Legal action has been taken against the accused.

"ROP calls on everyone to abide by the laws, customs and social traditions, and calls on parents to monitor their children and to guide them so that they do not fall under legal liability," the police said.
