Three arrested over Oman house fire deaths

Muscat: Three people have been arrested over the deaths of a woman and two children inside their home in Oman, Royal Oman Police (ROP) have confirmed.

Last Thursday, a fire broke out in a house in the Wilayat of Bahla. Rescue services found the bodies of the woman and two children inside their burnt-out home.

A Royal Oman Police spokesman at that time said investigations were ongoing.

In a statement on Sunday, ROP stated: "The Department of Criminal Investigation, led by the Police Internal Affairs and in cooperation with the Department of Crime Investigation, have examined the circumstances surrounding the deaths of a woman and two children in a fire in their home in the area of Jabrin in wilayat of Bahla. Three suspects have been arrested and are being prosecuted."
