Discussion on land laws in State Council office meet

Muscat: The State Council Office held its 9th meeting of the 4th annual sitting of the 6th term under the chair of Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council.
The Office discussed during its meeting the proposal submitted by the Legal Committee on “Review of the Lands Laws in the Sultanate”. In this respect, the meeting hosted Dr Issa bin Said Al Kiyumi, Deputy Head of the Committee and Ibrahim bin Ahmed Al Kindi, Rapporteur of the Committee to discuss the proposal with them.
The meeting also examined the Bankruptcy Law, and the Foreign Capital Investment Law referred by the Council of Ministers, and the report of Majlis A’Shura on them. The meeting decided to refer them to the Economic Committee of the Council for study and opinions on them.
The meeting reviewed the comments of the Social Committee on two draft proposals: The Patient Protection and Safety Law Act and the Regulation and Reuse of Treated Wastewater Law, referred by Majlis A’Shura.
At the end of its meeting, the meeting set up the agenda items for the 11th, 12th and 13th meetings of the 4th annual sitting for the 6th term, scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 18, 19 and 20 of June.
