Three Omani citizens arrested for smuggling narcotics

Muscat: Royal Oman Police has arrested three Omani citizens on charges of possession and smuggling after over 70 kilograms of cannabis was found on them.

ROP said in an online statement, "The Directorate of Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances in the Southern Al Batinah Governorate arrested three citizens on charges of possession and smuggling of narcotic substances for the purpose of trafficking and abuse."

An ROP official also added that: "they were captured with more than 70 kilograms of cannabis and more than 2,100 pills of psychotropic substances."
