Body of fourth fisherman found as search continues for 10 more

Muscat: The body of a fourth fisherman who was reported missing during storm Hikaa has been found, as the search continues for 10 more missing at sea.

The news comes a day after a search was launched for eight people on a fishing vessel which had capsized and split apart. One of the missing men was found and is in good health.

In a statement, the Royal Oman Police said: “The Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance in the South Sharqiyah and Wusta governorates continues to search for people of Asian nationalities who went missing at sea while fishing.”

“Five people have been found, one of whom is in good health while the other four are dead; the search continues for the others,” the statement said.
