Muscat: Lebanese-American comedian Nemr had his audience in splits, as he once again entertained Muscat with his brilliance, wit and humour.
Nemr was in Oman for a one-night-only performance titled ‘The Funny Man’, which took place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Qurum on Thursday night.
“There is something about Oman and its beauty. It is the most beautiful country in the Middle East. I love Oman, and I am very excited to be back!” the comedian said.
“Why I keep coming back to Oman is mainly because of two things. One: when I put a show together, I am always excited to share
with as many people as I can.
“If people are excited to see my show then I am even more excited to do the show. I have developed kind of a beautiful relationship with the people in Oman that come out for my shows – the energy here is very different,” added Nemr.
“There is a very serene kind of calm, which I don’t know how to describe, but the energy here is just amazing. So, as a performer and as an artist being able to present a show here is something every artist should try if they get the chance to as it is different than anywhere else,” he said.
The event was organised in Oman in collaboration with small and medium enterprise, ‘Humor Infection’, and Nemr said this was the other reason he came to Oman, stating, “So when Humour Infection reached out to me, I jumped at the opportunity as I got the opportunity to work with talent from the country as well. It is beautiful seeing the Arabs coming together to make a great show.”
This was his fourth appearance in Oman, having previously come here in 2009, 2012 and 2016.
