Royal Navy of Oman transports basic necessary items

Muscat: The fleet of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) has transported during the week basic necessary items, commodities, a number of vehicles and other materials from Said bin Sultan Naval Base to Khasab Port in the Governorate of Musandam to ensure sustainability of such items necessary for citizens and residents in the various parts of the Governorate of Musandam.
The RNO's efforts came within the roles and national duties of the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF) and the other departments at the Ministry of Defence.
RNO continues its support to all departments and institutions of the government and private sector in the Governorate of Musandam, affected with the actions taken in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The efforts also came within the plans of the Sultan's Armed Forces supportive to national efforts and the actions to mitigate the impacts of the spread of COVID-19 pandemic and the decisions of the Supreme Committee tasked with the mechanism to tackle the developments of COVID-19.
