Muscat: The financial sector’s aggregate deposits posted a growth of 3.6 per cent and stood at OMR23.9 billion by the end of April 2020.
Data released by the Central Bank of Oman showed that the private sector’s deposits witnessed a 10.5 per cent increase to reach OMR16.2 billion, of which individual depositors sector constituted 49.7 per cent, while financial and non-financial firms sector’s deposits constituted 16.1 per cent and 32 per cent, respectively, and the rest (2.3 per cent) fell in different categories.
