Kuala Lumpur: A group of students and graduates from Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) got gold and silver medals at the 27th International Exhibition of Inventions and Innovations “ITEX 2016” in Malaysia.
A project entitled “Absorption and Conversion of Carbon Dioxide” by Hilal Al Gelandani and Samah Al Rawahiya, won a gold medal. “Smart Airport Wagon” won a silver medal.
“Robot Arm for Biopsy” got the silver medal. “Phenol Removal Using Active Carbon Made of Environmental Remnants” won a silver medal.
These projects won the 2nd “Inspire” competition, a voluntary competition organised by students and graduates of SQU and the sponsor of the award, SQU Self-Learning Centre.
The management of ‘Inspire’ had decided to participate in the ITEX Exhibition 2016 in Malaysia. Representative of each project of the five projects were chosen to attend the exhibition.
