Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has issued a circular regarding using the halls at hotel establishments.
A statement issued online by Ministry of the Heritage and Tourism said, "Referring to the decision of the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19 regarding approval of the reopening of meeting rooms in hotel establishments, in its meeting held on Monday, 24th August 2020, and to the Ministry's circular for all hotel establishments on 14th September 2020 attached with the precautionary measures related to the operation of meeting rooms. Accordingly, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism would like to emphasize that it is strictly forbidden to use the halls of residential facilities for events and celebrations such as weddings or gatherings of any kind, except for the limited number of work meetings, while following the precautionary measures related to the operation of these halls in order to preserve the safety of the visitors and employees."
"In addition to the need to follow all the instructions included in the guideline for the prevention of COVID-19 in hotel establishments, restaurants and cafes and their employees, which was issued by the Ministry earlier. In the event of non-compliance, the necessary legal measures will be taken against the violating facilities."
