Diam adopts precautionary measures to aid subscribers' transactions

Muscat: The Public Authority for Water (Diam) has adopted a set of precautionary measures to facilitate the completion of subscribers' transactions.

A statement issued online by Diam said, "In view of the current health conditions, which require the implementation of the highest preventive standards to preserve the public health of the employees and subscribers in Diam and to avoid crowding of customers in some subscriber service halls, some precautionary measures have been taken to facilitate the completion of customer service transactions, which are as follows:

1. Extending the work time to the evening shift in the hall of the Wilayat Seeb.

2. Temporary stopping until further notice of receiving customers in all subscriber service halls in the Muscat Governorate for services available electronically via the website or the E-Diam app and include self-reading and issuance of final invoices, reports of high consumption, tariff change, update subscribers data, statement of bills, update counter data and change requests.

3. To stop receiving requests for new connections through electronic services until the end of October, in order to introduce some improvements in this service. Submission of requests is limited to subscriber service halls except for Muscat Governorate halls.

4. This emphasizes the necessity of not sending the request repeatedly to avoid duplication of requests, which results in delays in completion," the statement.
