Woman, child dead due to cooking gas explosion

Muscat: A woman and her child died in Wilayat Izki due to the explosion of cooking gas at their house.  

A statement issued online by Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance (PACDA) said, "Rescue and ambulance teams at the Civil Defense and Ambulance Department in Al Dakhiliya Governorate dealt with a cooking gas explosion at a house in Wilayat Izki which resulted in the death of a woman and a child."

"The authority calls on everyone to take into account safety measures for household connections and leaks of cooking gas," the statement added.
