Muscat: The Sultanate has participated in World Post Day 2020 which occurs annually in October 9 .
A statement issued online by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology said, "Represented by Ministry of Transport,Communications & IT, the Sultanate participated in World Post Day 2020. It is an anniversary to celebrate the establishment of an universal Postal Union in 1874. This year’s World Post Day will focus on innovation, integration, and inclusiveness, during the looming COVID-19 pandemic across the world, for creating new approaches for providing postal services with top quality postal traffic."
"Oman participates to stress the significance of the postal sector in the daily life of individuals and the business sector. The Government's vision is to make the postal sector efficient with high quality, to be able to seize the opportunities to further meet the needs of its beneficiaries."
