Muscat: His Excellency the Minister of Agricultural , Fisheries and Water Resources has visited Sohar Refinery and Liwa Plastic Industries Complex at the company's headquarters in Sohar Port.
A statement issued online by the Ministry said: "His Excellency the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources recently visited the Sohar Refinery and the Liwa Plastic Industries Complex at the company's headquarters in Sohar Port, accompanied by His Excellency Eng. Ya'aqoub bin Khalfan bin Khamis Al Busaidi, Undersecretary for Fisheries, and in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Saif bin Hamyar bin Al Shehi, Governor of North Al Batinah and a number of officials in the ministry."
The visit included a field tour to the main control room and the Liwa Plastic Industries Complex project. The project represents economic and strategic importance for the refineries and petroleum industries in the Sultanate.
