DARE Index 2020: Oman ranks second among Arab nations

Muscat: The Sultanate ranks second in the Arab world and sixteenth globally in the Digital Accessibility Rights Evaluation Index (DARE Index 2020).

Oman News Agency ONA said, "The Sultanate ranks second in the Arab world, third regionally, and sixteenth globally in Digital Accessibility Rights Evaluation Index for the year 2020 issued by the Global Initiative for Comprehensive Information and Communication Technologies, based in Atlanta, USA."

DARE Index 2020 is a benchmarking tool, developed by G3ict, for disability advocates, governments, civil society, international organisations and policymakers to trace country progress in making Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) accessible for all, in compliance with Article 9 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).
