72 persons convicted for violating Supreme Committee decisions

Muscat: The court has issued a decision against 72 people, and they were fined OMR 500 per person for gathering and violating the decisions of the Supreme Committee. 

The public prosecution said, "The Bahla Court of First Instance convicted 72 defendants for failing to implement the procedures and measures established to prevent the spread of infection or its transmission to others. The court has fined each one of them OMR 1000 for the public right, of which OMR 500 will be executed, as the defendants were arrested at the time of their gathering on a farm on September 25, 2020."

The public prosecution noted that the violation was committed on a date prior to the Supreme Committee’s decision to publish the photos of the violators.
