Nine people arrested for various unrelated crimes: ROP

Muscat: The police have arrested nine suspects which include those accused of robbery from homes, stealing vehicles and vandalism.

The Royal Oman Police said, "The Muscat Governorate Police Command arrested six people, out of which four were booked under the charges of vandalism and theft from several vehicles, homes, and farms in Wilayat Qurayyat."

"While the other two were arrested in Wilayat Seeb on the charges of stealing vehicles, one of them caused a traffic accident in a stolen vehicle and escaped from the scene of the accident," ROP added.

On the other hand, the Oil and Gas Facilities Security Police Command arrested three persons on charges of sabotage and theft from several stations use to strengthen the networks service in the concession areas.

Legal measures are being taken against the accused, ROP confirmed.
