Two boats seized for illegal entry into Oman

Muscat: Two boats have been seized for illegally entering the country. The first boat carried 11 people and the second was carrying two people, in North and South Al Batinah. 

A statement issued by Royal Oman Police (ROP) said, “The coast guard boats, led by the North Al Batinah Governorate Police, seized a smuggling boat carrying 11 people of Asian nationalities off the shore of the Wilayat of Shinas. In addition, Al Batinah South Governorate police also managed to seize another boat with two Asians on board near the coast of Barka State. Legal procedures are being completed against those arrested for entering the country illegally.”
