Shura panel discusses housing loan issues

Muscat: The delay in application for housing loans and housing support from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the terms of getting loans were discussed by the Services and Social Development Committee of Majlis Al Shura on Monday.
It decided to hold a separate meeting to discuss the issue after getting the details.
The meeting also discussed problems faced by the fishermen, fish transporters and vendors in the Wilayat of Bausher and decided to provide them with appropriate solutions as they have been prohibited by some authorities from selling fish at certain public places in the Wilayat.
The committee proposed setting up of a general framework by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and the issuance of a decision for allowing them to sell fish within the activities of street vendors.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Hamoud bin Ahmed Al Yahyaei, Chairman of the Committee in the presence of the members.
The Committee yesterday held its 12th regular meeting for the first annual convening of the ninth term ( 2019-2023)
