Two arrested in Oman for smuggling narcotics

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has arrested two people for smuggling narcotic substances.

A statement issued online by ROP said, "The General Administration for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances has arrested two persons of Asian nationality on charges of smuggling narcotic substances and possessing them with the intent to trade them in partnership with international gangs. Seized from their possession are large quantities of morphine, crystal and hashish. Legal measures are being taken against them."
