Muscat: A working group studying the phenomenon of multiple commercial records has completed its work and made a number of recommendations.
A statement issued online by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion said: "The working group concerned with studying the phenomenon of multiple commercial records held its last meeting on Thursday according to the time period specified for the work of the team, which was formed according to Ministerial Resolution No. (183/2020) issued by the Minister of Commerce , Industry and Investment Promotion."
The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed bin Moosa Al-Yousef,Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Saleh bin Said bin Salim Masan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Commerce and Industry, the head of the team, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour, the President of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a number of representatives of the competent authorities.
"During the meeting, the proposals that the team had studied to put in place the necessary procedural improvements and facilities were discussed and a number of recommendations that would address the phenomenon of hidden trade and the multiplicity of commercial records were submitted," the statement said.
