Working group to follow up on street vendor requirements to be formed in Oman

Muscat: The Chairman of Dhofar Municipality, issued an administrative decision to form a working group to follow up the implementation of the requirements for the activities of the mobile cafe and street vendors in the Dhofar Governorate.

A statement issued online by Dhofar Municipality said: "His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohsin bin Mohammad Al-Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality, issued an administrative decision to form a working group to follow up the implementation of the requirements for the activities of the mobile cafe and street vendors in  Dhofar Governorate and to provide alternative locations in the Dhofar Governorate according to the Local Order No. (1/2020) issued by a ministerial decision by His Excellency Mr. Mohammed  Bin Sultan bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar."

"It is worth noting that the aforementioned local order stipulates that the mobile cafe  and the activities of street vendors should not be practiced until after obtaining licenses from all concerned authorities and fulfilling all health requirements," the statement added.
