Muscat: The Oman Meteorology has warned people not to be exposed to direct sunlight especially at noon due to the expected increase in temperatures which may exceed 50 degrees Celsius in desert areas of some governorates in Oman.
A statement issued online by the Oman Meteorology said: "Due to the expected rise in temperatures, which may exceed 50 degrees Celsius in parts of the desert areas of the governorates of Al Dhahirah, Al Wusta and Al Dakhiliya, so avoid exposure to direct sunlight, especially at noon, to avoid heat strokes and heat stress. "
