Cyclist dies in hit-and-run accident in Oman

Muscat: A hit-and-run accident in South Al Batinah Governorate resulted in the death of a cyclist, and the accused has been arrested, said the Royal Oman Police (ROP) on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. 

"The South Al Batinah Governorate Police Command arrested a citizen on charges of running over a cyclist and fleeing from the scene of the accident. The accident led to the death of the cyclist," ROP said in a statement.

The legal procedures are being completed against the accused.
