Muscat: 60% of the contracts for the first phase of Sultan Haitham City have been approved, including apartments to attract young people first, as they are the largest category of beneficiaries, the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, said.
His Excellency Dr. Khalfan bin Saeed Al Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, said that 60% of the contracts for the first phase of Sultan Haitham City have been approved, and the commitments will be implemented within 10 years.
His Excellency pointed out that there are more than 50 plans for transportation in the city, and there are additional solutions that ensure that there will be no congestion from the entrance to Mabela.
Additionally, His Excellency Dr. Khalfan bin Saeed Al Shuaili confirmed that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning provides various options for citizen to entitle the land granted to him by the government in addition to new options, such as choose your land programs, plan your land, exchange your land, residential neighborhoods for Sorouh and Sorouh plans, in addition to future cities.
H.E the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning confirmed also that Sultan Haitham City will include apartments that are not comparable to the apartments currently available, and aim to attract the youth as they are the largest deserving group.
This came during the media dialogue of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, which reviews the housing system in the Sultanate of Oman, and the provision of various options through the housing options program, the neighborhoods program, integrated residential plans and future city projects, in addition to reviewing the most prominent features that will be included in Sultan Haitham City.
