Do not use this IKEA product in Oman, warns Ministry

Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) has warned against using the ÄSKSTORM 40W from IKEA due to a defect in the charger cable that may lead to the risk of thermal burns, electric shock, or property damage.

"To ensure your safety and the safety of your property, stop using ÄSKSTORM 40W from IKEA . There is a fault in the charger cord that may result in risk of thermal burns, electric shock, or property damage. Avoid hazards and check safety when using electrical appliances," the Ministry said in a statement.
