Muscat: Pakistan Navy Ship Zulfiquar visited Port of Salalah at Oman. The ship is currently deployed on Regional Maritime Security Patrol duties in Indian Ocean.
The Sultanate of Oman’s 54th National Day was also celebrated during a reception held on board ship. Senior Government and Military leadership from Salalah and prominent members of Pakistani and Omani community attended the event.
The visit was aimed to further strengthen friendly ties between Pakistan and Sultanate of Oman. During the visit, Pakistan Navy Ship undertook various professional interactions and a Passage Exercise was also conducted with Royal Navy of Oman Ship to crystalise interoperability, mutual learning and explore avenues for joint operations at sea.
Pakistan and Oman enjoy close and brotherly relations. These relations are based on mutual respect, understanding and commonality of interests due to shared maritime arena.
Pakistan always takes lead in promoting peace and stability in the region and ready to collaborate with brotherly countries. The visit will go a long way in bolstering bilateral ties and will give impetus to further enhancing defence relations between two countries.
