In a groundbreaking achievement, students from ISWK Cambridge and Indian School Wadi Kabir set a new world record by executing 15 unique basketball drills simultaneously. The feat, officially recognized by the World Book Records, London, took place at the ISWK Primary Ground on January 18th, 2025, marking a historic moment for the schools and the wider community.

A total of 183 students participated in the meticulously planned event, showcasing their skill, coordination, and dedication to the basketball. The initiative was not just about breaking records but also about fostering teamwork and sportsmanship, reflecting the schools’ commitment to excellence in sports.

Sustaining complex basketball drills for an entire hour required immense stamina, unwavering focus, and exceptional mental resilience from the young athletes, making their achievement even more remarkable.

“This achievement highlights the incredible potential of young athletes and their ability to inspire change through discipline and teamwork,” said an event spokesperson.

The record-breaking performance is expected to leave a lasting impact on the Indian diaspora in Oman and beyond, proving that passion and perseverance can push boundaries in the world of sports.
