Al Buraimi: The Municipal Council of Al Buraimi Governorate discussed several developmental and service-related topics, most notably the investment in natural resources to promote ecotourism and updates on key infrastructure projects in the governorate.
The discussions took place during a meeting chaired by Sayyid Dr. Hamad Ahmed Al Busaidi, Governor of Al Buraimi and Chairman of the Council.
Visual presentations were given during the meeting, highlighting the environmental investment opportunities and the importance of leveraging natural assets to support sustainable tourism in the governorate.
The meeting reviewed the key achievements of the Directorate General of Agriculture and Water Resources in Al Buraimi during 2024.
Updates were also provided on the ongoing consultancy study for the rainwater drainage project in the Wilayat of Al Buraimi, being carried out by a specialized company. The council stressed the importance of improving the drainage system to safeguard public property and mitigate risks caused by rainfall.
The Chairman of the Municipal Council spoke about the Recreational Centre in Al Buraimi, noting that it will provide recreational facilities for all segments of society, enhancing quality of life and attracting tourism from within and outside the governorate.
He added that these projects will create opportunities for small and medium enterprises to expand their operations, as well as generating job opportunities for local residents, thereby boosting the local economy and serving the community at large.
