Oman wins award for providing good service  to Hajj pilgrims

Makkah: The Sultanate of Oman has bagged the Health Competence Commitment Award offered by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the Annual Misk closing ceremony.

The ceremony was organised by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on the premises of the ministry in Makkah in cooperation with the Guests of Allah Service Programme to honour the Hajj Affairs Offices and the non-profit parties which excelled in serving pilgrims during the Hajj season 1446 H.

The award was offered to the Sultanate of Oman’s Hajj Mission for the quality health services offered to the pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman.

The Hajj mission of the Sultanate of Oman is annually accompanied by a health delegation with specialised medical cadres; nurses, pharmacists and other personnel from the Ministry of Health.

The delegation sets up a clinic to offer integrated health services for the pilgrims in direct coordination with their counterparts from the departments concerned in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabia’a, gave away the document of the initial preparations for the Hajj affairs offices for the upcoming Hajj season 1447 H.

It is an early step to raise the level of readiness and improvement of the facilities for the guests of Allah.

In his speech, the Minister praised the government and the civilian efforts with the Hajj affairs offices, which had a great impact on the success of the hajj season for 1446 H.
