Muscat: The Royal Air Force of Oman today conducted a search and rescue operation for five people of Asian nationalities following a report from the Coast Guard operations indicating the sighting of a boat wreck at sea and the presence of people of Asian nationalities on the slopes of Ras Mahayil Mountain, east of the Hallaniyat Islands.
Reaching them was impossible due to the sea conditions and difficulty.
They were rescued, and then transported by a Royal Air Force of Oman helicopter to Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate. They are in good health.
