Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman will join the global community in observing the "Universal Health Coverage Day", which falls on 12 December every year.
The event focuses on ensuring that all individuals have access to full health care without having to incur financial costs. It affirms that health is a fundamental human right in the world.
The Universal Health Coverage Day seeks to stress the importance of establishing a flexible health system in the countries of the world. It underscores common measures to provide high-quality health services for all segments of society, including children, the elderly, patients suffering chronic diseases, persons with disabilities and limited-income groups.
The overall objective of the Universal Health Coverage Day is to help countries operate in an integrated manner to provide means of complete stability for their respective societies.
