
Muscat: Naveed Safdar Bukhari, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Sultanate of Oman, graced the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and Muscat University, marking the establishment of the ICAP Chapter in Oman.
The MoU was signed on behalf of ICAP by Muhammad Zohaib Shaukat, FCA, Chairman – Oman Coordination Committee, and by Prof. Khamis Al-Yahyaee, Vice Chancellor of Muscat University.
This collaboration supports the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 by strengthening academic and professional cooperation and promoting the development of highly skilled professionals through education, training, certification pathways, and continuous professional development programmes.
It aims to enhance employability, encourage knowledge exchange, and promote the adoption of international best practices in finance, governance, and business leadership.
The ceremony was attended by Ishrat Hussain Bhatti, Commercial Counsellor, and Yasir Gadit, FCA, Chairman – ICAP Overseas Committee, along with senior members of ICAP in Oman, CCIM representatives, and Heads of departments from Muscat University.
