
Muscat: The leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has extended its condolences to the Sultanate of Oman following casualties caused by the recent low-pressure weather system that affected several parts of the country.
According to a statement issued by KSA Foreign
Ministry, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik over the victims of the weather condition known locally as the “Al-Masarrat low.”
King Salman expressed his deep sorrow upon learning of the low-pressure system and its consequences, which resulted in deaths, injuries, and missing persons. He conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and to the people of Oman, praying for God’s mercy upon the deceased, a swift recovery for the injured, and the safe return of those missing.
Similarly, His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, also sent a message of condolence to Sultan Haitham, expressing sincere sympathy and solidarity with Oman during this difficult time.
The Crown Prince reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s support for Oman and extended his prayers for the victims and their families, wishing safety and stability for the Sultanate.
