Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman took part in the consultative ministerial meeting of foreign ministers convened via video-conference, involving the GCC states, the Russian Federation and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister represented the Sultanate of Oman at the meeting.
The ministers exchanged perspectives on regional and international developments related to the Israeli-American war against the Islamic Republic of Iran and its severe repercussions on the region—foremost among them the targeting of critical infrastructure across various parts of the region—in addition to the escalating humanitarian consequences of the war and the adverse effects on the global economy resulting from disruptions to energy supplies and international maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
The ministers expressed their profound condemnation and denunciation of all acts of targeting and all other ramifications arising from the ongoing conflict.
