Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, has issued a special royal pardon for a number of prison inmates convicted in various cases, on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha 1447 AH.
An official source at the Royal Oman Police stated that 382 inmates, including Omani citizens and foreign nationals, were granted the royal pardon.
The pardon reflects the humanitarian approach of His Majesty the Sultan and comes in consideration of the families of the inmates during the Eid Al-Adha celebrations.
