Oman, UNICEF review ways to enhance cooperation in humanitarian, development initiatives

Muscat: Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, today held a meeting at the Foreign Ministry with Carla Haddad Mardini, Director of the Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships Division at the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

The meeting dealt with cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the UNICEF in different fields, including support for humanitarian and development initiatives that have a sustainable impact. The meeting also underscored the role of the Sultanate of Oman in supporting multilateral efforts related to sustainable development and humanitarian action.

The meeting was attended by Omar Said Al Kathiri, Permanent Representative of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Nations, and Sumaira Chowdhury, UNICEF Representative in the Sultanate of Oman, and a number of officials from both sides.
