Sayyid Theyazin to preside over SQU's 40th anniversary celebrations

Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs will preside over the ceremony of Sultan Qaboos University on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of its official opening on Monday.

This year's celebrations are being held under the slogan "An Extended Impact", highlighting Sultan Qaboos University's four decades of national, scientific and intellectual contributions. The university has played a pioneering role in developing human capital, advancing knowledge and preparing for the future through an integrated educational system that places people at the centre of learning and knowledge at the heart of research and innovation.

Human development remains one of the university's key contributions and a central part of its national mission. Over the past 40 years, it has helped prepare generations of Omani professionals who have contributed to various sectors of the economy and national development, applying their knowledge and expertise in service of the country.
