Call to donate for Waqf bodies

Muscat: Imam Jabir Bin Zayd Waqf Establishment was launched yesterday at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre by Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nuamani, Minister of the Royal Office.
The establishment aims at serving human sciences and subsidising the education establishments and centres as well as needy student. It also provides its services to needy patients suffering from critical diseases and tough human conditions.
In statements to reporters, Al Nuamani stressed the importance of Waqf and urged local community organisations and individuals to contribute to this Waqf organisation and this will promote social integrity.
On his part, His Eminence Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalili, the Sultanate’s Grand Mufti and General Supervisor of Imam Jabir Bin Zayd Waqf Establishment said in a speech that all humans need each other because everyone has his own skills and capabilities therefore they complement each other.
He added that Islamic Umma needs integration and cooperation for doing good.
The event included a video on Imam Jabir Bin Zayd Waqf Establishment, the importance of Waqf and the idea behind its establishment as well as its vision mission and values.
The establishment seeks to serve the Islamic culture by investing in real estate, industry, commerce, agriculture and other fields according to the tenets of the Islamic Sharia.
