Islamabad: The Sultanate’s government, represented by the Ministry of Oil and Gas and the government of Pakistan, represented by the Ministry of Energy (Oil Sector) signed a cooperation agreement in the field of oil.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Sultanate’s government in Islamabad yesterday by Sheikh Mohammed bin Omar Al Marhoon, the Sultanate’s ambassador to Pakistan, while it was signed from the Pakistani side by Mohammed Jalal Sakandar Sultan, Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy (Oil Sector).
Sheikh Al Marhoon highlighted the importance of the deal as it will open the Pakistani market for Omani oil and LNG products. Oman International Trading Company, Pakistan State Oil Company and LPG Company will market these products in the two countries.
