First version of Innovation Prize launched

Muscat: The Ministry of Manpower launched the first version of its Innovation Prize on April 29 in the presence of a large crowd of government authorities and private establishments supporting innovation. The prize is one of the Ministry’s initiatives meant to support and enhance innovation in multi-fields and is the fruit of cooperation between various government and private establishments, to contribute to achieving the national innovation strategy. The mission of the award is to contribute to building an innovation-based knowledge economy.
The Ministry of Manpower has adopted several initiatives, which support the establishment of an integrated environment encouraging innovation, such as the setting up of the open data platform on the Ministry’s website, which transparently and easily offers several data packages for users.
The platform includes a number of initiatives, such as the innovative ideas, the innovators’ initiative and other initiatives.
