Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman today took part in the 10th meeting of GCC Anti-Corruption Undersecretaries Committee, held via video-conferencing.
Oman was represented during the meeting by Ahmed Salim Al Rujaibi, Deputy Chairman of the State Audit Institution.
The meeting reviewed the draft guide on corporate liability for corruption crimes, the draft guide on parallel financial investigations in corruption cases, and the draft guide on procedures and measures for identifying the actual beneficiary in the GCC states. It also discussed Protection of Public Fund Law and the Excellence Award for the Ideal Employee in the anti-corruption Institutions. In addition, the meeting addressed the selection of the theme for the 2026 annual event and the endorsement of its recommendations.
The meeting also included the selection of the topic for the GCC competition on integrity awareness and combating corruption, the joint Gulf event to be held on the sidelines of the 11th Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption, and the memorandum of understanding signed between the GCC General Secretariat and the International Anti-Corruption Academy.
