Full Scale Shield Exercise 2 conducted in Oman

Muscat: The national exercise “Full Scale Shield 2” was conducted on Thursday at Sultan Qaboos Port in the Wilayat of Mutrah, with the participation of security services and government institutions concerned in cooperation with relevant partners in the maritime transport sector.

The exercise activities included the implementation of numerous field scenarios that simulate exceptional events which the maritime transport sector may face. This aimed to test response speed, crisis management effectiveness, the level of coordination and integration among field units and operations rooms, in addition to evaluating communication capabilities and information exchange between the institutions concerned.

The execution of this national exercise reaffirms Oman's commitment to enhancing its national preparedness, entrenching the concept of joint action, and its continued improvement of risk management methods to achieve the highest levels of efficiency in confronting emergencies.
