
Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion on Wednesday concluded the activities of the third edition of the national discounts and promotional offers campaign, "Oman Celebrates."
The organisation of the event came as a culmination of the success achieved by the campaign during the period from 11 January to 11 February, 2026.
The campaign saw the participation of 1,574 retail outlets across various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, compared to 814 outlets in the second edition. This indicator reflects a doubling in participation and accelerated growth in the commercial sector's interaction with the initiative. This figure confirms the growing confidence of private sector institutions in the campaign and its establishment as an annual economic event with a direct impact on the local market.
The campaign also recorded significant turnout from consumers in various governorates, which contributed to stimulating markets and shopping centers, boosting purchasing power and the economic cycle, especially with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan.
The closing ceremony was attended by Eng. Ghalib Said Al Ma'amari, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion for Commerce and Industry, along with a number of officials and representatives from public and private sector institutions.
